TNP Issues Statement on Joint Regulation of NPs
Posted about 2 years ago
Last week, the American Medical Association called for nurse practitioners to be regulated by both state boards of nursing and state boards of medicine. Increasing red tape and introducing new bureaucratic and regulatory hurdles will not help a single patient get the care they need. Efforts like this prove the physician union’s motives have nothing to do with patient care and everything to do with consolidating power and protecting their bottom line. TNP President Cindy Weston issued a statement in response to this action.
